Commment: Starlight is a mutation of Prime Seedless developed and commercialised by Hoekstra Fruit Farms and the Volcani Institute in Israel. Starlight is an early season, red seedless variety with excellent red/pink colour. Berries are round, medium sized, sweet and crunchy.

EVANS DELIGHT

Commment: Evans Delight forms part of the “Delight” series by Hoekstra Fruit Farms. The cultivar was bred by the late Ted Evans on Nancy Farm. It is an attractive early-mid season, dark red seedless variety with good colour, berry size and yield. It has a unique sweet taste.

MOUNTAIN PEARL

Comment: Mountain Pearl is bred by the Volcani Agricultural Research Organisation in Israel.  Hoekstra Fruit Farms has successfully  commercialised the new cultivar with great market feedback.  It is a mid to late red seedless variety.  It has a medium sized “Africa” bunch with very firm, crisp, oval shaped berries and sweet neutral taste.

Comment: Sweet Celebration is produced and exported under license from IFG. It is a mid-season, large oval shaped, red seedless variety with a crisp berry and unique sweet taste.  It is highly productive and colours well.

CRIMSON SEEDLESS

Comment: Crimson Seedless is a mid-late red seedless variety with medium sized, elongated berries. The crisp and very firm textured berries have a sweet neutral juicy flavour. This cultivar also has exceptional shelf-life if harvested and packed at optimum maturity.
